The need for a new recruitment solution

The Dutch network services and entertainment market has grown dramatically in the last few decades. During that time, Casema has profiled themselves as one of the major players in the field of television, radio and internet services in the Netherlands. With 20.000 kilometres of cable and 1.4 million customers, Casema is currently taking broadcasting to the next level by offering HDTV so that customers may enjoy the ultimate viewing experience. Recently, the company also entered the telephone service sector and is successfully serving their customers with cable-based telephone solutions.

As the number of markets served by Casema has increased, so also has their need to find and retain talented employees. Traditionally, the companies HR managers have handled all the recruitment activities through software based solutions. This system functioned adequately, but with time the number of CV’s grew and it became increasingly challenging to maintain a clear overview of processes and respond to applications within an acceptable time-span. Additionally, the lack of automation within the system caused considerable time losses. There was room for process- and efficiency improvement.

Cable giant chooses flexible, web based solution

Casema decided to purchase an online recruitment solution to ensure that the company capitalized on a clear process overview and also reduced the time spent on administration related to recruitment. With these priorities in mind, Casema starting working together with PeopleXS to take recruitment to the next level.

Integration was one of the items that the PeopleXS consultancy team focussed on. The integration of PeopleXS with portals allows Casema to set up their own managers portal. This enables managers to handle recruitment demands for their own department. In contrast to recruiters, managers do not require full access to a recruitment system, however, excluding them completely cuts out an important player in the recruitment process. Giving managers access to a Portal provides them with a detailed overview of candidate info and allows them to respond swiftly to new CV’s, thus increasing efficiency. Besides being user friendly, the portal also greatly enhances the response management for Casema recruitment.

Applicants who fill in their details are automatically placed in PeopleXS and a workflow is initiated to manage them toward hire or decline. Casema recognized these benefits and purchased a portal license. Now the company can manage their recruitment cycles through PeopleXS at a competitive price.
